스와니시 지미 버넷(Jimmy burnett) 시장이 관내 식당과 매장에 대해 영업중단 명령을 내렸다.

스와니시 당국은 19일 오후 관내 모든 레스토랑과 주점, 피트니스센터 등 비즈니스을 보내 20일(금) 오후 3시부터 긴급 행정명령을 발동한다고 공지했다.

행정명령에 따르면 레스토랑은 파티오를 포함한 모든 매장내 영업을 중단해야 하며 배달과 드라이브 스루, 테이크 아웃 서비스만 할 수 있다. 그동안 투고가 금지됐던 주류에 대해서도 외부 반출을 허용하기로 했다.

체육관과 피트니스 센터, 영화관, 볼링장, 게임장과 공연장 등도 추후 공지가 있을 때까지 폐쇄됩니다.

EXECUTIVE ORDER OF THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF SUWANEE,
ACTING UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF SECTION 26-58 “POWERS AFTER DECLARATION”
OF THE CITY OF SUWANEE CODE OF ORDINANCES
TO PROVIDE FOR THE CLOSURE OF DINING AREAS OF ALL BARS AND RESTAURANTS
AND ESTABLISH PROCEDURES FOR TAKE OUT OR DELIVERY OF FOOD ONLY,
PROVIDING FOR DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION, TO PROVIDE FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the President of the United States declared a National Public Health Emergency on
Friday March 13, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Georgia declared a State Emergency in Georgia on March
14, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the World Health Organization has declared Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COV1D-19)
a world health emergency and a pandemic; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Suwanee has previously declared the existence of an
emergency within the City of Suwanee pursuant to City Charter, Section 2.23; and
WHEREAS, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended that any large
public gathering be discontinued or prohibited; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED AND DECREED, AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED
AND DECREED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1:
All bars, restaurants, or businesses that sell food or beverages for consumption on
premises or that provide entertainment on premises shall be closed to in-person dining,
consumption of alcohol, or entertainment until the expiration of this ordinance.

Bars, restaurants, and other businesses that sell food may offer food for delivery, pick-up,
take-away or to-go for customers to eat somewhere other than within the premises of the
establishment.
Businesses affected by these closures shall establish systems that restrict in-person
contact as much as possible, to include limitation on the number of customers at a time to
be in the premises. Such processes may include the business taking the food to the
customer’s vehicle rather than the customer coming inside the business.

Furthermore, business shall ensure that all onsite consumption of food is prohibited, and
that employees and contractors of the business maintain at least 6 feet of personal
distance between themselves as much as possible given the physical constraints of the
premises and utilize best practices set forth by the Centers for Disease Control.

If a restaurant is licensed to sell beer and wine for on-premises consumption, such
business during the efficacy of this ordinance only shall be authorized to sell unopened
bottles of beer or wine for take-out consumption off-premises.
Section 2: This Order shall take effect at 3:00 p.m., March 20, 2020 and shall expire 72 hours later unless
extended by further action.
Section 3: The Suwanee Police Department and City staff shall take reasonable and necessary efforts to
disseminate such Order and educate local business and the public impacted thereto.
